Spectral Dynamics and Rotec at ASTELAB 2025: Innovations in Test and Simulation
Location: CEA Cardarache (Château de Cadarache – 13115 Saint-Paul-lez-Durance) - France
The upcoming ASTELAB 2025 conference, organized by ASTE, is set to take place on July 2nd and 3rd, 2025, at the CEA Cadarache (one of the research centres of the French Commission for Atomic and Alternative Energies) in France.
Spectral Dynamics will participate to the 2025 exhibition alongside Rotec, one of our partners and experts in torsional rotation measurement and analysis.
At ASTELAB 2025, Kevin Rohwedder, Managing Director at ROTEC, will give a lecture entitled “Optimizing turbine performance, reducing unplanned outages, and optimizing equipment life span by utilising high-precision rotational vibration measurement tools”. The presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, July 2, at 9:00 AM (CEST).

What Is ASTELAB 2025?
ASTElab 2025, short for Journées des Essais et de la Simulation, is a biennial conference that brings together experts from various industries to discuss advancements in testing methodologies and simulation technologies. The 2025 edition will feature a condensed two-day program focusing on innovative approaches to environmental testing and simulation.
Key Themes of ASTELAB 2025
The conference will address several topics, including:
- Test and measurement equipment (Wednesday 2nd)
- Testing – Simulation (Wednesday 2nd)
- Virtual tests (Thursday 3rd)
- Customized mechanical testing (Thursday 3rd)
- Sensors (Thursday 3rd)
- Structural monitoring (SHM and NDT) (Thursday 3rd)
Participants of the 2025 ASTElab conference are invited to visit both ITER and CEA facilities; however, registration is required (the deadline for the CEA visit is May 30, and for the ITER visit, it’s June 12).
An open-access exhibition, bringing together manufacturers of sensors and test equipment, as well as solution developers, is organized in parallel with the conference.
